The books that will move you, inspire you, make you cry, make you think, make you laugh. Are there any books that you would add?
I’ve read exactly one of these books (Never Let Me Go). Maybe it’s time to get a summer reading list going? If I ever finish “A Dance With Dragons” that is…
suck it pete. I’ve read a whopping EIGHT of these. 8/65. that’s still not any much.
Three. I have read a gran total of three of those books. All the shames.
I’ve read one (The Bell Jar) and a half (Even Cowgirls Get The Blues) and a fourth (Just Kids). A few of these I have zero interest in, but a lot of these I would like to read soon. Need to up my reading game over the next few years!
I’ve read 9 of the books on this list: Never Let me Go, The Namesake, The Bell Jar, I’m With the Band, Dear Diary, I Don’t Care About Your Band, Bossypants, The Complete Poems of Anne Sexton, and Drawing On the Right Side of the Brain. 9/65 is such a bummer.
Reblogging so I’ll remember to get some of the other books on this list from the library.
I’ve read: The Secret History (amazing, so good, loved it so much, you should read it right now), some of White Teeth (I had/have trouble getting into it), Bright Lights Big City (I would give it a C+), The Sun Also Rises (pretty great), A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius (fucking hated it so much and I can’t believe anyone liked it), The Bell Jar (favourite book when I was 15), Generation X (loved it), On The Road (blah), Even Cowgirls Get The Blues (it was alright I think), Bossypants (problematic as fuck), The Dirt (B+ totes fun), Lunar Park (what was with that Furby bullshit? Bret Easton Ellis’ worst book), Just Kids (amazing), I’m With The Band (so much fun), Dear Diary (so much love), Slouching Toward Bethlehem (Didion is my babby), and He’s Just Not That Into You (lol). So that’s seventeen. I am pretty unimpressed with this list though, I could write a better one.
